Klara Kelvey - I like Herring Island & Herring Island likes me.

I Like Herring Island and Herring Island Likes Me is a ritual performed by an artist aiming to connect to Herring Island using running as a form of secular spirituality. The performance combines symbols and ritual the artist holds dear from her own culture (Artist-Activist Joseph Beuys; a Wild Woman; and Trail Running) to express a self-conscious apology for the past, and prompt more expansive discussion about how we relate to our environment as a community.
